Physical Projects

For a high-scale Lord of the Rings–themed baby shower, I had the chance to create unique, handcrafted décor pieces that brought the theme to life. I built whimsical mushroom installations using foam bases covered in real moss, blending natural textures with a playful, storybook feel. I also designed a wishing tree, complete with individual wish cards for guests to write personal notes for the family. On the morning of the event, I arrived at 7 a.m. to set up all the décor before guests arrived, ensuring every detail was placed perfectly. These pieces not only added interactive and immersive elements but also elevated the overall atmosphere, staying true to the fantasy-inspired aesthetic. This project gave me hands-on experience merging craftwork with thematic design while also managing the time-sensitive logistics of event setup.

One of my major organizational projects was managing over 300 acrylic mirror dinner menus and escort cards, as well as table numbers for a single wedding reception. Over the course of three days, I unpacked each piece, double-checked spelling and order accuracy, and then organized them both alphabetically and by table number to ensure a seamless guest experience. Once everything was carefully reviewed and sorted, I repacked the menus and escort cards and prepared them for transport, ultimately dropping them off with the travel team to be driven from Texas to Georgia for the event. This project required patience, precision, and an eye for detail, as well as logistical follow-through to make sure every piece arrived perfectly prepared for the wedding.

I was given the task of organizing hundreds of linen and draping samples, which became a deep dive into the world of event textiles. I sorted each sample by company, material, and color family, then developed a new office organization system that made the collection easy to access and client-ready. The process not only sharpened my organizational skills but also gave me valuable knowledge about different linen and draping options, from textures and finishes to how they’re best used in event design. The system I created allowed the team to quickly grab samples during client meetings, making design presentations more seamless and efficient.

I had the meaningful opportunity to help proofread, design, and create programs for the celebration of life of a young girl who tragically lost her life in the Camp Mystic floods. Because of the quick turnaround, the entire project was completed within just a few days. The night before the service, we stayed up until 1 a.m. at the printers as the programs—produced in sheets of 20—came off the press. The next morning, I arrived at the service location by 7 a.m. to finish assembling them, carefully folding, tying ribbons, and stacking each program. The very last one was completed and delivered just an hour before guests began to arrive. While it was an intense time crunch, the process reinforced the importance of focus, teamwork, and precision under pressure, and I was grateful to play a part in creating something so meaningful for the family and community.

As part of my internship, I was tasked with reviewing and organizing past invitation suites, a process that required both attention to detail and an understanding of design elements. I carefully sorted each suite by categories such as design style, paper weight, and event type, creating an organized system that made it easier for the team to reference past work for future projects. This process gave me the chance to study a wide range of luxury stationery designs up close, strengthening my eye for detail, materials, and event aesthetics while also contributing to the studio’s efficiency and creative resource library.

I helped set up a prototype meeting for a client, creating a preview of the design elements for their welcome party, ceremony, and reception. I arranged linen options and paired them with prototype floral designs, allowing the client to see how textures, colors, and arrangements would work together across each event. The setup provided a tangible way for the couple to visualize their wedding design before final decisions were made, ensuring their vision was captured accurately. This experience gave me hands-on involvement in curating event aesthetics while learning how small details come together to shape the overall atmosphere.
