My role as Social Director involved creating, budgeting, and executing all club and date events throughout two semesters.

I budgeted $125,000 over four main events and a few smaller-scale events, over two semesters in this position. Skills I have grown immensely in through this role are organization, time management, and communication. For each event I had a vision that I worked to communicate to vendors, other officers, and our club sponsors, all requiring the growth of professional communication skills.

I expressed creativity in theme ideas, venue selection, decor choices and layout, and all accompanying graphics. I strive to curate events that represent the dynamic, bright personalities that embody our sorority! I pride myself in thinking of the wants of each girl in club when planning, and for attention to detail in every step taken!

As a sorority officer, expectations were to fulfill my role while aiding all other officers in any way they need. Although there were busier seasons around the times of my events, in any downtime I helped out in every way I could. I aided in every gathering our sorority hosts, arriving early and staying late, worked with our officer team to ensure all University standards and requirements are upheld, and above all, I kept myself available to the girls of my sorority.

I recognized that I am not only viewed as their party planner but also as one of their leaders! So I work to be an open, loving, and consistent leader in my role!
